The Sustainable Development Program (SDP) is one of CnS Bangla Foundation flagship initiatives aimed at addressing the root causes of poverty. By promoting sustainable livelihoods and providing financial support for small businesses, we help individuals and families become economically self-reliant. Our SDP is designed to create long-term, scalable impact, improving not just individual lives but entire communities.
The Need for Sustainable Development
In rural Bangladesh, many families rely on seasonal work or low-wage jobs that do not provide a stable source of income. This instability leads to cycles of poverty, preventing families from accessing education, healthcare, and other essential services. Without sustainable employment, families struggle to meet basic needs, perpetuating a cycle of poverty across generations.
How SDP Works
Micro-financing and Capital Support: We provide interest-free loans or grants to individuals who want to start small businesses, such as grocery stores, tailoring shops, or farming operations.Skill Development: We offer training in various trades, including animal husbandry, agriculture, sewing, and retail management. This equips participants with the skills they need to run successful businesses.
Livelihood Support: We provide essential resources such as livestock, seeds, and equipment to help individuals kick-start their businesses. For example, many families have benefited from receiving goats, poultry, or sewing machines to create stable sources of income.Success Stories.

Through CnS Bangla Foundation SDP, many individuals and families have been able to rise above poverty. One such example is Abdus Sattar, who, despite being physically challenged, received capital to run a small grocery store.
