During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, CnS Bangla Foundation, a nonprofit organization in Bangladesh, took significant steps to support the marginalized communities in Tangail. In May 2020, the foundation distributed Eid gifts to over 250 families from remote areas in the Gopalpur and Madhupur upazilas of Tangail district, including villages like Ramnagar, Shukdeb Bari, Chilabari, Kuripakhia, and Shingra.
Support During Difficult Times
Each family received over 15 kilograms of essential food items to help them celebrate Eid and meet their daily needs. The following food supplies were provided:
10 kg of rice
2 kg of potatoes
1 kg of lentils
1 kg of onions
500 ml of oil
2 bars of soap
This initiative was carried out with the support of Pragya, a registered social welfare organization, and Proyas. The distribution was done while strictly maintaining health protocols, ensuring social distancing and hygiene, so that families could receive their much-needed aid in a safe environment.
