Two years ago, several families from the Khordibari and Kisamat Char areas of Dimla Upazila, Nilphamari, lost everything to the devastating flood and river erosion of the Teesta River. Forced to take shelter on the embankment, these families have been living in extreme poverty ever since.
Due to the lack of access to clean and safe drinking water, as well as the absence of hygienic latrines, their living conditions remained challenging. Recognizing the dire situation, CnS Bangla Foundation, a nonprofit organization in Bangladesh, stepped in to provide much-needed support.
To address the water crisis, CnS Bangla Foundation installed a deep tube well, offering these families access to clean and safe drinking water. Additionally, the foundation is currently constructing hygienic latrines to improve sanitation and overall health conditions in the area. This initiative is playing a significant role in enhancing the living standards of the flood-affected families, ensuring a healthier and safer environment.
