Winter is not just cold in Bangladesh; it can be deadly for the most vulnerable populations. The biting cold impacts the elderly, children, and those living in poverty, who often don’t have access to warm clothes or heating. CnS Bangla Foundation is committed to mitigating this by distributing winter clothing to families in need.
The Impact of Winter
Every year, thousands of people in rural and northern areas in Bangladesh suffer due to the lack of appropriate clothing and shelter during winter. Many of these families live below the poverty line, unable to afford warm clothing to protect themselves from the cold. Children, in particular, are at risk of developing illnesses like pneumonia, bronchitis, and other respiratory infections due to exposure.
How CnS Bangla Foundation Helps
Since 2020, our Winter Clothing project has provided thousands of families with warm clothes, including jackets, sweaters, blankets, and gloves. Through donations and partnerships with local organizations, we identify the communities that need the most help. In regions like Kurigram, Dinajpur, and other cold-prone areas, we distribute winter clothing kits, ensuring that the most vulnerable are prepared for the harsh months ahead.
Our Winter Clothing project also aims to raise awareness of the hardships faced by these communities. We rely on our network of volunteers and donors to ensure that no family is left out.
