In January 2024, CnS Bangla Foundation, a renowned nonprofit organization in Bangladesh, launched a significant project in the remote village of Kuramara, located in the 5th Bandukbhanga Union of Rangamati. This village, accessible only by a 2-hour river journey and three mountains, faces a dire issue – access to clean drinking water.
The Struggle for Water
The people living in this village, situated at the foot of steep mountains, face immense challenges in obtaining water. To fetch a single bottle of water, villagers must travel 2 to 3 kilometers on foot, often through difficult terrain. This daily struggle for clean drinking water has been a long-standing issue, and CnS Bangla Foundation is dedicated to alleviating their burden.
Introducing a Deep Tube Well
To address this critical need, CnS Bangla Foundation took the initiative to install a deep tube well in the village, bringing clean and accessible water directly to the community. This initiative aims to reduce the long hours spent walking for water, improving the lives of these remote villagers.
